Hey Isaac! I've only read your, "Stop getting offended all the time, idiot" post, but thoroughly enjoyed it...particularly the title. I worked as a waitress for a while and sarcasm is a love language in that industry. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy! I knew I'd like your blog and I'm glad I finally got time (and remembered) to read it. I already follow you on twitter. I'm an FF5 fan and finally started following you after seeing re-tweet after re-tweet of your own tweets that made me laugh. <---That's a lot of twitter talk in one sentance!
I want you to know how blessed I am to read your honest opinions. I grew up in church and am most certainly a christian, but definately am very familiar with the same feelings you write about there. Even though I grew up in church I also grew up with an alcoholic Father who not only hung out in the bars most nights, but took me with him lol. I've definately given the same response of, "If I were to get away from ____ I'd have to move away from ____". Even now I work with a ministry in an inner-city. A definition ghetto area. I love meeting and talking to the the miniature gangster of kids, I love hanging out at local bars to meet new people and stopping to have conversation with pan-handlers along the sidewalks of my city. I am always blessed when people show entusiasm and agreement for that part of my heart. I was raised to love the "types" of people I love. I do find myself saddened when I find christians who can't agree with it or are afraid of it. I know I'm not the only person ever to love loving people outside of church, and pray so much for more to gain a heart and passion for that to change. Once again, I love the church and have grown up and been blessed by awesome men and women over and over again (I'm not who I am without them), but I long to see more christians wonder into "risky" territory :)

I'm rocked and excited by your boldness in writing about these things you have stirring in you. Keep it up. You're obviously making a major impact. And I say let your sarcasm fly! If the homies hate the warm and fuzzy blanket you is throwing at them, then let them be cold! :D Or just throw a real blanket at them and yell, "How's this for love, hater?!" <--I really think this will be your most successful approach.

I have an idea to shoot (film)all the behind the scenes moments in a documentary style film for an up and coming band while touring with them. I want your take on this and your current schedule, could you maybe be a second? I'm an operator, editer ,producer, computer graphic madman with certified 3D animation and compositing experience. I all have done a fair share of audio work. Last, I am also a web developer extrordinair.
Find me at wwwdanielpatton.com
Ditch this after you read everything, please.
Interested in a project?

I love when God uses strange coincidences (e.g. stumbling upon an obscure blog by some guy named Isaac Deitz) to speak to me... These are the moments in which I'm truly certain that He's at work in my life. You're a very articulate writer. Thank you for sharing what's on your heart.

Hi Isaac, my name is Jolaina Jesser. We spoke on the phone for approximately sixty seconds the other night, I'm the Boston University Freshman film major. I was pretty nervous to take you up on your very generous open-call invitation on Twitter, so I don't think I properly thanked you for the excellent reflections in your blog. I very much appreciate your honesty and candidness about your faith, and have been encouraged and challenged by them many a time. You told me to send you some of my film stuff, and though it terrifies me to share my very imperfect work, I realized I wanted to anyways, one, because I would appreciate any feedback that someone vastly more knowledgable than me could give, and two, because it's very silly to make a movie you don't want anybody to see. So if you get a couple minutes sometime, maybe you could take a look at a music video I made to Poison and Wine by the Civil Wars. This is the best way to watch it, because for some reason it's funky on youtube: http://dayfordaisies.tumblr.com/post/2499363751/this-is-my-short-film-see-set-to-the-song. It was made my junior year of high school, before I knew much about lighting or overexposure in the snow, so please forgive the imperfections, but hey, thank you so much again, and please let me know how I can be praying for you.

I came across your writings when I googled "Jesus said Love My People" I was looking for photos to express that. I am so thankful that I googled that today because I love your writings and you seem to be speaking words that I have not been able to express.
